The Housing Authority of Fort Fairfield offers housing assistance to individuals and families that meet low-income limits as established by HUD. The statutory basis for HUDs income limit policies is Section 3 of the U.S. Housing Act of 1937, as amended.
The Housing Authority of Fort Fairfield offers families Public Housing in Borderview Homes, and a Section 8 project based in Morningview.
For the Elderly/Disabled we offer Public Housing, Section 8 new construction units and units through the Tax Credit Project. The Housing Authority now offers Moderate Income units to elderly families. Our Section 8 vouchers are for the Fort Fairfield, Easton, and Limestone, Maine area.
The Housing Authority also offers the Home Modification for Seniors Program. This program targets elderly/disabled families who own their own homes and who are income qualified. This program was developed to enhance the safety and accessibility of homes to help families stay in their homes longer.
